Talent Agency Builds Social Media Skillset

Deadline Hollywood reports that the United Talent Agency has hired a 23-year-old social media expert to help the agencies talent and corporate clients develop their social media strategies. Despite his young age, Eric Kuhn has already worked for CNN, the NBA and the CBS Evening News, doing essentially the same thing.

UTA is smart to understand that having a social media strategy is now necessary for brands, be they corporate or individual. It is said that Kuhn will focus largely on social media outlets like Twitter, Foursquare and Facebook.

Anyone with a public persona now knows that they need to use social media to maintain a closer relationship with those with whom they interact. It’s not only a good idea, it’s expected. And famous people frequently have the least time to cultivate these relationships. But in today’s world the image projected through social media can be the difference between having a great reputation or a bad one.
